Good, not great, for the Colts: B-.

The Colts did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and James Williams fell into slot 153.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The cost of the Hart reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Pick Analysis
Pick15 Rnd1 Rome Odunze
In pick No. 15 they get a No. 1 receiver. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick46 Rnd2 Tyler Nubin
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Tyler Nubin at the 46th overall pick is the proof. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick82 Rnd3 Zak Zinter
They paid up for Zak Zinter at pick 82 when waiting would have done the job. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick115 Rnd4 Darius Robinson
They took Darius Robinson at par in Round 4, Pick 15, which is nothing to complain about. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick117 Rnd4 Cam Hart
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Cam Hart well ahead of where he belonged. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick153 Rnd5 James Williams
Taking James Williams in No. 153 is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick193 Rnd6 Jaylan Ford
They let Jaylan Ford come to them and pounced at the Round 6 slot. A need, and now a little less of one.
