The Bears spent the pick that matters most on Jayden Daniels, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

The cost of the Simmons reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.

They banked enough surplus on Jones to cover a lot of smaller sins. They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
