Draft Grade — Cardinals

FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Cardinals. You can hear the double-takes from here. The Cardinals took Ty Robinson at the 78th overall pick, roughly 93 spots before his name belonged. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
The Carter value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
Josh Conerly Jr.
In pick 16 they get a plug-and-play piece up front, though the board says they badly overpaid. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick47
Rnd2
Tyleik Williams
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Tyleik Williams at the Round 2 slot is the proof. It fills a real need, too.
Pick78
Rnd3
Ty Robinson
Ty Robinson at the 78th overall pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick114
Rnd4
Barrett Carter
They robbed the room for Barrett Carter here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick153
Rnd5
Xavier Scott
Xavier Scott in Round 5, Pick 14 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A minor need, but a need all the same.
