The Browns did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Tao Johnson fell into the 150th pick. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They are betting Branch proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
