The steal of the weekend belongs to the Patriots and Beck: B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Patriots were there to profit. Carson Beck, the No. 74 name on the board, should have been long gone before Round 5, Pick 13. The bottom line is a respectable B.

They will need Womack to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
