Draft Grade — Colts
Overall

The Colts cashed the board's mistake on Inniss: B-. You build a draft on nights like this. Brandon Inniss had no business being available in slot 249, and the Colts did the only sane thing and turned in the card. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want. The Dunker pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick8
Rnd1
Jermod McCoy
In the Round 1 slot they get an island corner. Need was not the driver here.
Pick40
Rnd2
Gennings Dunker
A real head-scratcher, Gennings Dunker in slot 40 is miles ahead of his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick72
Rnd3
Jaeden Roberts
They paid up for Jaeden Roberts at No. 72 when waiting would have done the job. It fills a real need, too.
Pick108
Rnd4
Tao Johnson
Tao Johnson at the 108th overall pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick147
Rnd5
Rayshaun Benny
A reasonable price with a little left over, Rayshaun Benny in pick 147. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick186
Rnd6
Lander Barton
Lander Barton slid further than he should have, and Round 6, Pick 10 is lovely value for the linebacker. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick221
Rnd7
Kevin Jennings
Kevin Jennings in the 221st pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick247
Rnd7
Jeremiah Cobb
Jeremiah Cobb in pick No. 247 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick249
Rnd7
Brandon Inniss
They will replay Brandon Inniss at No. 249 for years; that is how good the value is. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
