You build a draft on nights like this. Raylen Wilson had no business being available in the Round 5 slot, and the Cardinals did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The cost of the Coogan reach is exactly the players who went right after him. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with quarterback the one that mattered most.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
