The steal of the weekend belongs to the Broncos and Pena: B-.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Trebor Pena got past him. The Broncos do not have to explain a thing at Round 7, Pick 16. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

Williams has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The linebacker hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.

Pick Analysis
Pick19 Rnd1 Chris Brazzell II
In the 19th overall pick they get a true top target, even if it was a touch early. A real need, handled.
Pick51 Rnd2 Darrell Jackson Jr.
A big swing on Darrell Jackson Jr. at the 51st pick, well ahead of any board in the building. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick83 Rnd3 Jalon Kilgore
Jalon Kilgore at slot 83 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick119 Rnd4 Iapani Laloulu
Iapani Laloulu at the Round 4 slot jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick158 Rnd5 Bray Hubbard
Bray Hubbard in pick 158 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick232 Rnd7 Trebor Pena
They barely believed it either: Trebor Pena still on the board at Round 7, Pick 16. The roster fit checks out.
Pick250 Rnd7 Riley Williams
Riley Williams in No. 250 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick254 Rnd7 A'Marion Peterson
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and A'Marion Peterson at pick No. 254 is the proof. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
