There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Bills started one anyway for Ethan Downs, 76 picks ahead of schedule. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up.

Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.
