Best value of the weekend goes to the Chargers for Johnson: D+. You could see the war room lean forward. Greg Johnson at No. 242 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.
They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The Chargers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
