Larceny in the 182nd pick lands the Bears a A-, Hopper and all.

The board owed the Bears one, and it paid up: Ty'Ron Hopper, the No. 151 name on the board, sitting there at the 182nd pick like a gift left on the doorstep. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

The cost of the Sainristil reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Spending an early pick on defensive back with interior defensive lineman, cornerback and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.
