A costly weekend of dealing drags the Texans to a D-.

It is the swing that defines the weekend: Sam Hartman in the 188th pick, a good 70 spots before the room expected him. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. They banked enough surplus on Robinson to cover a lot of smaller sins. The Trey Smith deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

On the needs board they went 8 of 8, with running back the one that mattered most.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.

A top-tier edge rusher at a bargain, Chop Robinson in Round 2, Pick 10, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
