The Bears did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Karene Reid fell into pick 240. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

The cost of the Skattebo reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
