After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Patriots committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. It is not that Smith-Wade is a bad player; it is that the Patriots had louder needs to answer first.

However the rest shakes out, Fiske at that price is a win they earned.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
