A costly weekend of dealing drags the Chiefs to a D-.

The rest of the league had time to spare on Jalen Thompson; the Chiefs did not wait, grabbing him 74 spots ahead at the 230th overall pick.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
