The tape said wait; the Chiefs did not. Brenden Rice went at pick 98, a good 23 picks before the board was ready.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Joey Porter Jr. gives the group a proven body among the projects.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
