The Chiefs cashed the board's mistake on Slaughter: A-.

The trade table was a mismatch, and the Chiefs were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

However the rest shakes out, Slaughter at that price is a win they earned. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
