Grand theft in pick No. 95: the Chiefs steal Watts and grade out a B-.

Somebody in pick 95 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Chiefs sat still while Xavier Watts, the No. 46 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

It is not that Mukuba is a bad player; it is that the Chiefs had louder needs to answer first. Reaching for Crenshaw-Dickson left real value on the table behind him.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. They went 3 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
