ngraham03 DRAFTING FOR THE49ers
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — 49ers

Klubnik should have been long gone. The 49ers pounced, and earned a B-. Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Cade Klubnik got past him. The 49ers do not have to explain a thing at the 125th overall pick.
Reaching for Kamara left real value on the table behind him. They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Caleb Lomu
In pick 25 they get a building block for the line, even if it was a touch early. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick57
Rnd2
Brian Parker II
Brian Parker II at No. 57 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick89
Rnd3
Mikail Kamara
Mikail Kamara at the 89th overall pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick125
Rnd4
Cade Klubnik
Cade Klubnik at the 125th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick133
Rnd4
Chris Johnson
A slide stopped in slot 133, with Chris Johnson worth more than the price. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick139
Rnd4
Terry Moore
A clean, defensible pick in Round 4, Pick 39 with a little surplus value in Terry Moore. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick172
Rnd5
Jaden Greathouse
Jaden Greathouse slipping to the Round 5 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
