The rest of the league had time to spare on Seth McLaughlin; the Bears did not wait, grabbing him 51 spots ahead at slot 189.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Getting Johnson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
