CHEIFSMAFIA DRAFTING FOR THEBroncos
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Broncos
Overall

A respectable, level-headed haul for the Broncos: B-. The DeMonte Capehart selection is the head-turner. The Broncos reached 26 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. They banked enough surplus on Hasz to cover a lot of smaller sins.
Linebacker is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick31
Rnd1
KC Concepcion
No drama and no debate, KC Concepcion went about where he belonged in pick 31. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick63
Rnd2
Eli Stowers
A market-rate tight end, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Eli Stowers. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick95
Rnd3
Harold Perkins Jr.
They took Harold Perkins Jr. at par in No. 95, which is nothing to complain about. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick108
Rnd4
DeMonte Capehart
A real head-scratcher, DeMonte Capehart in pick No. 108 is miles ahead of his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick131
Rnd4
Albert Regis
Value said wait; Albert Regis in Round 4, Pick 31 says they were not listening. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick169
Rnd5
Earnest Greene III
No edge and no loss on Earnest Greene III in the 169th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick247
Rnd7
Raymond Cottrell
A straight-up fair deal on Raymond Cottrell at the Round 7 slot, value and slot in agreement. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick251
Rnd7
Luke Hasz
A tidy bit of business in the 251st overall pick, where Luke Hasz graded well above the range. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick255
Rnd7
Raheem Anderson II
Raheem Anderson II at pick No. 255 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
