The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Chiefs watched Kenyon Sadiq slide 20 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

They will regret leaving offensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

The skill positions did well by the weekend.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
