Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureB
Jackson should have been long gone. The Seahawks pounced, and earned a B+.

The Seahawks did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jha'Quan Jackson fell into Round 7, Pick 15. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

They are betting Rosengarten proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.

A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Darius Robinson
In the 26th overall pick they get a quarterback's worst nightmare, even if it was a touch early. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick53 Rnd2 Junior Colson
They paid sticker price for Junior Colson in No. 53, and that is fine. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick66 Rnd3 T'Vondre Sweat
They barely believed it either: T'Vondre Sweat still on the board at the Round 3 slot. It fills a real need, too.
Pick102 Rnd4 Roger Rosengarten
This one needs a full-page explanation: Roger Rosengarten in pick No. 102, miles early. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick118 Rnd4 MarShawn Lloyd
MarShawn Lloyd at the 118th pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick179 Rnd6 Tip Reiman
A straight-up fair deal on Tip Reiman at pick 179, value and slot in agreement. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick192 Rnd6 Nathaniel Watson
Nathaniel Watson in Round 6, Pick 17 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick220 Rnd6 Fabien Lovett
A top-tier interior defensive lineman at a bargain, Fabien Lovett in slot 220, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick235 Rnd7 Jha'Quan Jackson
They will replay Jha'Quan Jackson at pick 235 for years; that is how good the value is. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick246 Rnd7 Keaton Bills
A reasonable price with a little left over, Keaton Bills in Round 7, Pick 26. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
