The rest of the league had time to spare on Hayden Conner; the Steelers did not wait, grabbing him 36 spots ahead at pick 229. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Alexander. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
