Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB+ TradesC FutureB
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Seahawks.

The Seahawks put a flag in the ground for Andrew Raym, 48 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit.

They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Chop Robinson
In the 18th overall pick they get a double-digit-sack hope at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick81 Rnd3 Cedric Gray
They left a pile of value on the table to take Cedric Gray this early at pick 81. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick102 Rnd4 McKinnley Jackson
A big swing on McKinnley Jackson at slot 102, well ahead of any board in the building. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick151 Rnd5 Kitan Oladapo
No edge and no loss on Kitan Oladapo in Round 5, Pick 15; it is a wash and a sensible one. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick179 Rnd6 Tip Reiman
Tip Reiman at No. 179 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick191 Rnd6 Andrew Raym
Andrew Raym in the Round 6 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick192 Rnd6 M.J. Devonshire
M.J. Devonshire in slot 192 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick235 Rnd7 Edefuan Ulofoshio
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Edefuan Ulofoshio. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
