Best value of the weekend goes to the Chargers for Stutsman: B+. The Chargers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Danny Stutsman fell into the 209th overall pick.
If Hayes pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
