The Chargers clearly saw something nobody else did in Tim Smith, taking him 78 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

The Majors steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
