The Chargers checked most of the boxes and earned a B.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Chargers did exactly that with Jamaree Caldwell in the 215th pick. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

Getting Bryant where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
