A sensible, unshowy class lands the Chargers a B-.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Chargers would have aced it. Chase Bisontis at the Round 3 slot is 28 spots clear of where he belonged.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. Landing Slaughter that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The dealing was even money, start to finish.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

In pick No. 26 they get a sideline-to-sideline linebacker, and a steal at that. Need was not the driver here.
