More right than wrong for the Chargers, and a B- to prove it.

The Chargers did not so much draft Jamaree Caldwell as overpay for him, 112 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.

They banked enough surplus on Alexander to cover a lot of smaller sins. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
