There is conviction, and then there is this. The Chargers took Taylor Wein a full 39 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

Getting Johnson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Bottom line, with Cayden Green leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
