Nobody else had Jamaree Caldwell anywhere near the 201st overall pick. The Chargers did, by 96 spots, and that gap is the whole story.

The Neal pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.

They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The skill positions did well by the weekend.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
