Draft Grade — Chargers
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedA- TradesB- FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Chargers.

The war room fell hard for Blake Corum, and it showed at the Round 2 slot: 47 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas.

The Dixon value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick5 Rnd1 Dallas Turner
In pick No. 5 they get a double-digit-sack hope, reach and all. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick37 Rnd2 Blake Corum
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Blake Corum. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick69 Rnd3 Keon Coleman
Keon Coleman in Round 3, Pick 5 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick105 Rnd4 Mike Sainristil
Steal is underselling it; Mike Sainristil at the Round 4 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick110 Rnd4 Javon Baker
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Javon Baker in slot 110, plain and simple. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick140 Rnd5 Jalyx Hunt
They went early on Jalyx Hunt in pick 140, and the value did not follow. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick181 Rnd6 Walter Rouse
They robbed the room for Walter Rouse here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The roster fit checks out.
Pick225 Rnd7 Johnny Dixon
Johnny Dixon in the Round 7 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick253 Rnd7 Tayvion Robinson
Tayvion Robinson at Round 7, Pick 33 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
