Draft Grade — Chargers

Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Chargers. Boards are made to be trusted, and the Chargers shredded theirs for Chase Bisontis. He came off 37 spots early, and the room will hear about it. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. Landing Reese that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Arvell Reese
In the 25th overall pick they get the heartbeat of the defense, outstanding value to boot. More want than need.
Pick59
Rnd2
A'Mauri Washington
They paid up for A'Mauri Washington at Round 2, Pick 27 when waiting would have done the job. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick90
Rnd3
Chase Bisontis
Chase Bisontis at pick 90 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick125
Rnd4
Iapani Laloulu
Iapani Laloulu at the Round 4 slot is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick206
Rnd6
Isaiah Jatta
Isaiah Jatta at slot 206 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. It fills a real need, too.
