Neal should have been long gone. The Chargers pounced, and earned a B.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Chargers watched Devin Neal slide 136 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

The cost of the Caldwell reach is exactly the players who went right after him. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
