The Chargers did not so much draft Jasheen Davis as overpay for him, 90 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The Styles pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
