A passer of the future in Mendoza, and a D+, for the Commanders. Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Commanders spent the 206th pick on Eric O'Neill, a name the board had a full 56 spots lower.
They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The whole projection now runs through Fernando Mendoza; hit there and everything else looks smarter. That Hurst pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
The Commanders paired the rookies with proven help, Armand Membou leading the way.
A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
