There is a lot to like until you notice quarterback is still a hole. The Chiefs never got to the one that mattered most.

That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The Tiernan pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

Adding Jonathan Taylor by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
