Good, not great, for the Buccaneers: B-. There is a lot to like until you notice interior defensive lineman is still a hole. The Buccaneers never got to the one that mattered most. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
However the rest shakes out, Rhodes Jr. at that price is a win they earned. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick19
Rnd1
Arvell Reese
In pick 19 they get a sideline-to-sideline linebacker at fair value. More want than need.
Pick52
Rnd2
Quincy Rhodes Jr.
Quincy Rhodes Jr. slipping to slot 52 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A need, and now a little less of one.
