Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesA- FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Packers, and a B to prove it.

The Packers clearly saw something nobody else did in Jalen Travis, taking him 91 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The Gray pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick31 Rnd1 Derrick Harmon
In No. 31 they get an anchor for the defensive front. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick54 Rnd2 Emeka Egbuka
Circle this one: Emeka Egbuka at the Round 2 slot is a fall that decides a draft. It fills a real need, too.
Pick66 Rnd3 Donovan Ezeiruaku
A tidy bit of business in slot 66, where Donovan Ezeiruaku graded well above the range. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick68 Rnd3 Charles Grant
A big swing on Charles Grant at pick No. 68, well ahead of any board in the building. The roster fit checks out.
Pick108 Rnd4 Nohl Williams
Nohl Williams in the 108th pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick124 Rnd4 Denzel Burke
Denzel Burke is a better player than Round 4, Pick 22 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick159 Rnd5 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Dont'e Thornton Jr. at pick No. 159 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick198 Rnd6 Jalen Travis
Jalen Travis at Round 6, Pick 22 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick237 Rnd7 Joshua Gray
Joshua Gray at the Round 7 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick250 Rnd7 Hunter Wohler
Hunter Wohler at No. 250 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
