Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Caleb Williams gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The McLachlan pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.
