FutureA+
The Cowboys turned the phones into found money: A-. The Cowboys looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Tim Keenan III at pick 114 regardless, 34 picks early.
Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want.
The Wilson value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, A.J. Harris and all.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
A.J. Harris
In No. 25 they get a sticky cover corner at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick32
Rnd1
Caleb Banks
In pick 32 they get juice off the edge. Need was not the driver here.
Pick46
Rnd2
Kamari Ramsey
They took Kamari Ramsey at par in pick No. 46, which is nothing to complain about. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick90
Rnd3
Sam Leavitt
Sam Leavitt in slot 90 lands just on the right side of the ledger. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick114
Rnd4
Tim Keenan III
They reached into another round for Tim Keenan III, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It fills a real need, too.
Pick154
Rnd5
Max Iheanachor
No edge and no loss on Max Iheanachor in the 154th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick176
Rnd5
Davison Igbinosun
They let Davison Igbinosun come to them and pounced at the 176th overall pick. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick179
Rnd5
Darius Taylor
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Darius Taylor in No. 179. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick220
Rnd7
Raylen Wilson
Raylen Wilson slid further than he should have, and the Round 7 slot is lovely value for the linebacker. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick232
Rnd7
Shamar Easter
Shamar Easter in the 232nd pick is fair value, right on his grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
