When a board-topper like Xavier Restrepo slides to the 130th overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the Commanders did not.

They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it. The cost of the Hinzman reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.
