If confidence were a draft strategy, the Cowboys would have aced it. Trevin Wallace at Round 4, Pick 24 is 27 spots clear of where he belonged.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Getting Dixon where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
