Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB FutureB-
The Seahawks cashed the board's mistake on Rosemy-Jacksaint: B.

Call it larceny. Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint sat on the board until Round 7, Pick 15, and the Seahawks did not need to be asked twice. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

They will need Rattler to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up.

Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Good work on the whole, with linebacker the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick34 Rnd2 Jackson Powers-Johnson
No edge and no loss on Jackson Powers-Johnson in No. 34; it is a wash and a sensible one. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick57 Rnd2 Christian Haynes
The board had cheaper options than Christian Haynes at Round 2, Pick 25, and it noticed. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick68 Rnd3 Marshawn Kneeland
A reach on Marshawn Kneeland in the Round 3 slot; the board had better options right there. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick81 Rnd3 Spencer Rattler
Spencer Rattler in pick No. 81 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. The roster fit checks out.
Pick102 Rnd4 Dominick Puni
Dominick Puni in pick 102 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick118 Rnd4 Maason Smith
Maason Smith in slot 118 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick192 Rnd6 Jared Wiley
A premium they did not need to pay, Jared Wiley a notch or two before his time. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick235 Rnd7 Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint
Taking Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint in the 235th pick is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick237 Rnd7 Myles Harden
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Myles Harden in the 237th pick, plain and simple. A minor need, but a need all the same.
