The war room fell hard for Gavin Sawchuk, and it showed at No. 248: 133 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

Weeks falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss. On the needs board they went 9 of 9, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
