The Patriots did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Julian Pearl fell into the 231st pick.

Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Jones has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
