Best value of the weekend goes to the Cardinals for Gould: B. You build a draft on nights like this. Anthony Gould had no business being available in pick No. 186, and the Cardinals did the only sane thing and turned in the card. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
With tight end and interior defensive lineman unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them. They will need Travis to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it.
The trade work was a quiet net positive.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
