The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Cardinals watched Christian Jones slide 25 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Cardinals indulged a want in Newton while a need in quarterback and tight end stayed open.

Every board in the league had Cohen lower, and that gap is the story. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
