The Cardinals finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a D-. When a board-topper like Kyle McCord slides to slot 195, you do not overthink it, and the Cardinals did not. The math is unkind, and the D- follows.
They have staked the next five years on Shedeur Sanders, which is the only story that really matters here. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. If Crawshaw pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.
